Musical Glove is fantastic family fun combining an interactive concert with a fairytale story. It musicalises, engages, encourages fun and integrates whole families.
Musical Glove is a story based on the Ukrainian fairy tale Glove, the story of forest animals who inhabit a leather glove. The fairy tale is illustrated with Eastern classical and folk music arranged for domra, violin, kobza, piano, simple flute and percussion. During the concert you will hear works by composers such as Borodin, Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky and others.
Our special guest will be Ms Barbara Bazhanova, a graduate of the Kyiv Conservatory. She will play the domra and bagpipe. In 2020, Music Connects released a radio play based on the concert. The Family Concerts in the spirit of the "Classics for Children" idea are a combination of storytelling and classical music. During the concert, the artists encourage whole families to actively experience music by singing, moving and playing instruments together.
