Ye Banished Privateers began their extraordinary musical journey in 2008, travelling back in time 300 years to recreate the rough but adventurous lives of 18th century pirates. Sailing through the rough waters of pirate folk and punk, they have already created five albums filled with songs and ballads about living outside the law, fighting oppression and opposing nationalism. Their crew is made up of 30 musicians, a dozen of whom wield the 'weapon' of the fiddle, banjo or accordion.
