Cinematic downtempo straight from SXSW - the band breathe. for the first time in Poland!
After sold-out shows in Sydney and Turkey and a successful debut at this year's SXSW in Texas, the band breathe. will perform in front of a Polish audience for the first time. Their premiere concert in Warsaw will take place on 15 June at the Hydrozagadka club.
breathe. is a duo formed by Sean Walker and Andrew Grant - artists who prefer to speak in whispers instead of shouting. Their music is a hypnotic mix of soul, subtle electronica and ambient darkness, in which echoes of Massive Attack, Shlohmo, Grouper or Jamie xx can be heard. It's a sound that isn't looking for a hit - but stays with you long after the last notes have sounded.
To their credit, they have already collaborated with singers and musicians from London, New York and Toronto, as well as being featured in global productions - their songs have appeared in series such as You, Elite, What/If, Raising Dion, Couples Therapy and Grown-Ish. Their songs are not only music, but also images - the duo direct their videos themselves, taking inspiration from Bill Viola or The Blaze.
Live breathe. is an audiovisual experience - intimate, intense and deeply emotional. The Warsaw concert will be part of their first Central European tour. It is a rare opportunity to see them in a club-like, close contact with the audience before they disappear for good into festival line-ups.
