Although Kamil Pivot appeared on the Polish hip-hop scene in 2009, he only released his debut album at the end of 2017. His 'Tato Hemingway' features several stories describing the realities of everyday life of a large family told over classic Urba beats from the legendary Dinal Team. The languid flow, brilliant verses and unusual subject matter of the tracks have combined to create one of the more interesting hip-hop debuts of recent years.

This has not escaped the attention of the journalists of the Popkiller website, who in 2018 selected Kamil for the 6th edition of the prestigious Popkiller Young Wolves campaign. In addition to Pivot, participants in that edition included: Jan-rap, White2115, Tymek or Zeamsone. After the premiere of "Tato Hemingwaya", Kamil Pivot had the opportunity to play material from the album at festivals all over Poland, including - twice - at the Opener Festival in Gdynia.

In 2024, Kamil Pivot released 'KAM-RAP-POL', an album in which the rapper describes his everyday life through ideas for his next business. For example, in the song "DREW-KAM" he raps about making a table, in "KAM-CAR" he admits to being a layman in automotive matters and in "MASŁOPLASTR" he admits that he dreams of... sliced butter. Just like on his debut, "KAM-RAP-POL" is full of brilliant lyrics, which are Kamil's trademark.

At the Warsaw concert, in addition to songs from "KAM-RAP-POL", there is sure to be plenty of the most popular recordings from "Tato Hemingway". Just as the subject matter of Kamil's rap differs from what can be heard on most hip-hop albums in Poland, his performances go beyond the formula of a typical concert in this genre. What does this mean in practice? We will find out already on 17 May.
