Cattle Decapitation and Shadow of Intent will play a co-headlining gig in the capital. Brutal death metal and deathcore with touches of thrash will also be presented by their guests: Revocation and Vulvodynia. You have to be there!
CATTLE DECAPITATION (USA) progressive death metal, grindcore.
For nearly 30 years they have been communicating that humans are destroying themselves and other earthly creatures at their own request. This is brutal honesty and equally brutal music. Broken, up-tempo death metal crossed with the primitivism of grind sounds like the perfect option for letting everyone know that the end is near.
SHADOW OF INTENT (USA) symphonic deathcore, melodic death metal.
Extreme metal has many definitions, and Shadow of Intent are building a contemporary image of it. On the one hand we are assaulted with deadly heavy deathcore, on the other with references to symphonic metal and on the third with the always catchy melodic death metal. No wonder they have made it this far.
REVOCATION (USA) technical death/thrash metal.
They play technical, often melodic, but also ominous technical death metal with a thrash drive. In addition, Dave Davidson, the band's main composer, is a guitar virtuoso praised by Marty Friedman himself, among others. Is there a better recommendation?
VULVODYNIA (South Africa), brutal death metal, deathcore.
We love them for their name and their direct approach. They're so heavy, and draw so heavily on the biggest death metal heavyweights, weaving deathcore into the mix, that Atlas themselves wouldn't be able to pull it off.
