In the beautiful interior of the Fryderyk Concert Hall, lit only by candlelight, we will listen to Fryderyk Chopin's compositions performed by extraordinary artists - outstanding musicians of our time.
The concerts are two-part recitals lasting approximately 60 minutes, based on the idea of salon music gatherings popular in the 19th century. During the interval of the concert, you will be treated to a glass of sparkling wine.
They will perform:
*Jagoda Sokolowska - O'Donovan - soprano.
She graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Kraków. She has won first prizes at Polish and international music competitions. She has performed at all the major music festivals in Poland. She has also represented Poland at music festivals and stages all over the world. She is a soloist, chamber musician and cultural manager.
The eminent Polish critic and humanist Jerzy Waldorff wrote: "My responsibility for the state of the musical life of Polish stages dictates that I address these few words to you, co-creators of Polish culture ... I recommend to you this exceptionally talented artist ... an outstanding musical personality".
* Yaryna Rak - soprano.
Graduated from the M. Lysenko Music Academy in Lviv in the piano class of Maria Krushelnitska and in the opera singing class of Volodymyr Ignatenko and Lyudmila Bozhko. She also completed her artistic training in the opera singing class of Izabela Kłosińska at the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Winner of piano and vocal competitions in Poland and abroad. Scholarship holder of the President of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland. For a couple of years she taught her chamber singing class at the Lviv Music Academy, a master course in vocal interpretation and technique at the University of Music in Tromsø. She is currently a tutor for soloists at the Grand Theatre - National Opera in Warsaw. She cooperates with numerous festivals, philharmonics and theatres at home and abroad as a tutor of soloists and opera singer.
* Ewa Pelwecka - piano.
She is a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
From 1994 to 2012, she worked as a pianist and harpsichordist at the Warsaw Chamber Opera, performing basso continuo and solo parts in operas by Mozart, Rossini, Cimarosa, Galuppi, Donizetti, Verdi, as well as works by Kurpiński, Elsner, Karłowicz, Kronenberg and others.
Since 2012, he has been working at the Grand Theatre National Opera as a tutor for soloists.
At the same time, it carries out extensive concert activities at home and abroad.
She gives concerts as a soloist as well as a chamber musician, collaborating with outstanding musicians, in particular with leading singers of Polish opera houses.
