**
The "Filip z konopi" cabaret was founded in April 1992 after a longer stay in the USA on concerts for the local Polonia - Filip Borowski - an actor and author known for his earlier performances (in 1984-90) in the Warsaw cabaret "Szerszeń" ("Hornet") in cafés "Nowy Świat" and Hotel "Grand" alongside such stage giants as Kazimierz Brusikiewicz, Lidia Korsakówna, Alina Janowska, Hanka Bielicka, Jonasz Kofta, Jan Kobuszewski. In "Filip z konopi", which had a permanent place at Klub Bora Bora in Górczewska Street, and then Pod Galerią at Chmielnej Street, the permanent line-up consisted of singer Danka Stankiewicz, mime Piotr Suzin and the founder of the cabaret - Filip Borowski. Special guests included Ryszard Rynkowski, Władysław Komar, Bohdan Łazuka, Andrzej Rosiewicz, Tadeusz Drozda, Bogusław Wyrobek.
In addition to the premiere moral and political monologues performed by Filip Borowski, young performers - alumni of his cabaret workshops - as well as winners of OPPY, Szansa na sukces, Droga do gwiazd - such as Monika Salita, Rafał Brzozowski, Marcin Styczeń, Marcin Ziółkowski, Oktawian Zagórski - are a permanent feature of the programme. The excellent atmosphere during performances, friendly friends and reliable audience make the existence of Kabaret Filip z konopi meaningful in today's difficult times, and it is worth coming here to relieve stress and worries.
