On 11.02.2025, British alt-rock band Bôa will return to Poland for a one-off concert at Warsaw's Palladium! After a break of more than two decades, filled with life experiences, Bôa are back on stage with new music and the immortal hit "Duvet"!
In 1998, Bôa released their breakthrough single 'Duvet', which, among other things, became the soundtrack to the cult Japanese anime 'Serial Experiments Lain'. Almost two decades later, 'Duvet' has again gained popularity on TikTok, inspiring Bôa to return to the studio to record their first new music in over 20 years.
In the meantime, the members of Bôa were simply living their lives. Singer and guitarist Jasmine Rodgers studied zoology while releasing solo music, bassist Alex Caird devoted himself to art, painting and teaching music, and drummer Lee Sullivan devoted himself to family life, writing and producing music. Their time apart has provided them with a wealth of life experiences for their new third official album, 'Whiplash' (out on 18 October). The album's title has multiple meanings, referring both to their personal ups and downs and to our collective cultural insecurities. It is a very human and uniquely universal release - reflecting the vicissitudes of time and relationships. Long-time fans will feel as if they are greeting an old friend again.
"I think one of the things is that as a band we can be very hungry. We're not afraid to explore these different emotions, and our music reflects that," says Jasmine, as proof that time does indeed come full circle, as you'll see come February!
