The second edition of the exhibition 'Beksinski in Warsaw', an event that attracted more than 70,000 viewers in 2021. This year's installment is a unique opportunity to encounter the work of one of the most intriguing artists of the 20th century.
The exhibition will present 44 selected paintings and 9 drawings by Zdzisław Beksiński - including works never before shown publicly, coming from the private collections of the artist's friends. The exhibition covers the full spectrum of his work: from early, figurative drawings to mature, painterly compositions filled with metaphysics and emotion.

21 February 2005. Zdzislaw Beksinski was brutally murdered in his Warsaw flat. Twenty years after this tragic event, the Museum of Fantastic Art in Warsaw, in cooperation with the Historical Museum in Sanok, invites you to the exhibition "Beksinski in Warsaw. Second Edition', which is an opportunity to meet the work of Zdzisław Beksiński - including works presented to the public for the first time. The paintings coming from the private collections of Zdzisław Beksiński's friends, who have decided to make them available to the general public for the first time, seem particularly exceptional. The exhibition is a coherent presentation of the long and constantly evolving creative path.

From the earliest attempts to the latest compositions, from figurative drawings to monumental painterly visions. We are invited into a world where we don't need titles or labels in order for it to move us, shake us and stay in our memories for a long time. The first edition of the exhibition in 2021 was visited by more than 70,000 viewers. Remarkably, despite such an impressive turnout, the exhibition closed with the feeling that the public's extraordinary appetite for Zdzisław Beksiński's art had not been satisfied. This was confirmed by the seemingly endless queue of people eager to see the Master's work in the last moments of the show.
