It wasn't easy, but we really wanted it to happen. We worked a long time on this booking and we are proud to announce: Baby Rose will be performing at Jassmine. What's more, these will be her only three concerts in Europe at this time.
Baby Rose is one of soul's most intriguing contemporary voices - her deep, moving timbre and richness of emotion evoke Billie Holiday or Nina Simone, but in a modern way. Her music is a space for melancholy and intimacy, stories of loss and finding oneself.
She will be accompanied on stage by EABS, a band well known for pushing the boundaries of jazz, reaching for hip-hop, electronica and 70s sounds. Their collaboration promises an organic, emotive dialogue between soul and jazz improvisation.
