AUSTERE (AU) + LUNAR TOMBFIELDS (FR)
16.04.25. Warsaw, Clouds
Australian pioneers of depressive black metal Austere and fresh blood on the atmospheric black metal scene - Lunar Tombfields from France - are embarking on a joint European tour, which will also have a stop in Warsaw!

They will play:

AUSTERE - Austere's origins date back to 2005, when they were still a one-man project formed by Mitchell "Desolate" Keepin, and after Tim "Sorrow" Yatras joined the line-up, the duo released their debut album 'Withering Illusions and Desolation' in 2007. After 'To Lay Like Old Ashes', released in 2009, Austere broke up, only to return to the living in 2021. Since then, they have given the world two new albums - 'Corrosion of Hearts' (2023) and 'Beneath the Threshold', released this year on Prophecy Records . They played their first gig only in 2022. The band's music is described as depressive black metal. It is laced with great melodies and a hangry, sepulchral atmosphere.

LUNAR TOMBFIELDS - made their debut in 2022 with the album 'The Eternal Harvest' and recorded further material a year later with 'An Arrow to the Sun'. Their name was taken from a song by the German band Venenum. Known for their energetic and expressive live performances, the Frenchmen honed their skills in bands such as Absolution, Defenstration and Incipient Chaos. They play atmospheric black metal, unabashedly raw and furious.

IASKO [Sludge/Black Metal] [Warsaw, Poland].
FIASKO was formed in 2014 on the ruins of the Warsaw-based band So I Scream. At the beginning of their activity, the band created music that, in a nutshell, could be described as alternative metal with the addition of electronics.
Following the release of their debut album, Fools Are Dying, in 2017, the band is undergoing a major line-up reshuffle and, consequently, an even more serious stylistic volley.
As a result, with the help of a new guitarist and bassist, FIASKO will record a mini-album entitled 'Misanthropolia' in 2020, on which black metal blasts mix with sludge slowdowns and somewhere in the background there are echoes of cold wave. This is complemented by gloomy lyrics in the band's native language.
After a few concerts promoting this release, FIASKO parted ways with the drummer and fell into apparent lethargy in the shadow of the then prevailing plague.
The following years saw slow work on new material and a - for a long time unsuccessful - search for a new drummer. In 2023, there is a breakthrough: Tomasz "Herr Feldgrau" Walczak - spiritus movens of doom-metal band Tankograd and drummer of Chainsword and Weedpecker - joins the band as a session player.
With this line-up in place, FIASKO enters the studio at the turn of the year to record their second full-length album, a development of the concept initiated on their previous release. The result is an album consisting of eight tracks, lasting just over 45 minutes in total and rooted in the blackened sludge genre. The lyrics are again written in Polish and are an apocalyptic melting pot of despair, nihilism and violence.
All instruments were recorded at Warsaw's Santa Studio. The Burning Tones studio was responsible for recording the vocals and mixing the whole thing. The final mastering - as with the previous release - was done by Haldor Grunberg at Satanic Audio. The album cover was created by Robert Von Ritter Illustrations, the printing by Paweł Marzec of Kontamination Design (Blaze of Perdition, Manbyrne), and the band's photos were taken by Aleksandra "Krucza" Burska.
The material was self-released by the band and saw the light of day on 15 November 2024. The band is currently promoting the new album and looking around for opportunities to present it live outside the capital.

FIASKO is:
Mielnik - vocals, lyrics
Kozina - guitar
Michułka - guitar
Nawrot - bass, backing vocals
Walczak - percussion (session collaboration)
