On 22 October we will be inaugurating a new series of meetings at the Ateneum Theatre - this time the Ateneum Academy. We will invite actresses and actors, stagecrafters, and in the slightly longer future perhaps also representatives of other theatrical professions. Avoiding pathos and big words, we want to talk about the most important artistic encounters, words that sink into the memory and into the heart, masters whose thought, tone and aura remain forever. We want to talk about past artistic adventures and consciousness-forming works, about customs that have unfortunately passed, about theatre companies and intellectual ethos. All in the atmosphere familiar from My Athenaeum - without lecturing, with detachment and genuine reflection.
