After 500 years, they meet again. Two of the most outstanding artists in the history of art. Two distinct temperaments, visions, and creative paths. Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo return to face each other once again—this time in an immersive exhibition at Art Box Experience.
From February 13, Art Box Experience at the Norblin Factory in Warsaw will host the first exhibition in Poland entitled "Leonardo versus Michelangelo – a duel of the Renaissance giants", created by the renowned Layers of Reality studio – creators of the most acclaimed immersive productions presented in over 50 cities around the world.
Following its resounding success at IDEAL Barcelona, the project has now arrived in Warsaw. This is the largest and most innovative project in the history of the Layers of Reality studio – an exhibition that redefines the format of immersive experiences, combining cutting-edge technology with historical accuracy.
The starting point is a true event from 1503 – a legendary artistic duel at the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, where both masters were supposed to have created competing paintings. The exhibition allows us to relive this rivalry and invites viewers to actively participate in a story whose outcome depends on their choices.
In eight rooms and 800 m², visitors will immerse themselves in the world of the Renaissance thanks to:
monumental projections and an immersive 2D and 3D film that takes you deep into the works of Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo,
a 360° virtual reality experience, transporting you to 16th-century Florence and the studios of both artists,
interactive installations inspired by Renaissance artists' studios,
final vote, in which each visitor must choose one side.
This is an exhibition about competition, genius, and choice – a unique experience in which art history combined with modern technology makes the viewer a participant in a great duel.
