Grzegorz Turnau returns to Jassmine for another unique and intimate concert. This time, he will perform with bassist Robert Kubiszyn.
Grzegorz Turnau has been performing with his band for over 30 years. He has released 16 albums of his own repertoire and three albums interpreting works by other artists. He has guest-performed on numerous recording and concert projects, collaborating with numerous soloists, instrumentalists, and orchestras.
He debuted at the 20th Student Song Festival in Kraków (1984) with the song "Zn wędrujemy" (We're Wandering Again) (set to a poem by KK Baczyński), where he won first prize. Invited by Piotr Skrzynecki to the Piwnica pod Baranami, he performed there for 13 years. He also guest-starred in numerous projects, the most important of which include "Nieszpory Ludźmierzskie" (Ludźmier Vespers, 1992) and "Droga, życie, miłość" (Road, Life, Love, 2000) by JK Pawluśkiewicz and LA Moczulski.
Grzegorz Turnau also composes music for theater and film. He and his band have performed nearly 3000 concerts to date, consistently attracting audiences who appreciate original and refined stage presentation.
Robert Kubiszyn – a versatile double bassist and bassist, composer, arranger, producer, and record producer, with over 150 albums to his credit. Winner of the 2011 Fryderyk Award for his debut ("Before Sunrise") and winner of Jazz Top 2023 in the bass guitar category. Since 2024, he has been a lecturer at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. A longtime collaborator with Anna Maria Jopek and esteemed artists on the Polish and international jazz scene, he has performed on the world's most important stages and participated in numerous international projects, including as a producer and recordist.
