Flinta is back with her new album, "Mariposa," like a monarch butterfly after a long journey.
A vocalist with a powerful and charismatic voice, whose album "Przeznaczenie" went gold in less than six months, she hit the big stage at the Pol'and'rock stage (formerly Przystanek Woodstock) before she was 18. After her first concert, she and her band Surprise were invited to support the former Rolling Stones guitarist at Warsaw's Sala Kongresowa. A finalist on the first season of Idol, she gained popularity with the hit "Żałuję," which promoted her debut album. She has won numerous awards, including two Superjedynkas for Female Vocalist of the Year (2004 and 2005), a Superjedynka for her duet with Łukasz Zagrobelny (Hit of the Year 2008), Róża Gala, and Eska Music (Artist of the Year).

The artist, as she herself puts it, has undergone a significant transformation. Her time away from the stage allowed her to create a fully original narrative. On the album "Mariposa," one can clearly hear inspiration drawn from Americana and American folk, blending with elements of rock and blues, echoing the beautiful yet rocky path she has traveled.
The butterfly (Spanish: mariposa) became a symbol of this transformation. Seemingly fragile and ephemeral, yet persistent and ready for long journeys and constant change.
"Sometimes many moments accumulate in one place. I had such a moment in Mariposa, California. Something inside me broke through and was freed. But I know it wasn't a matter of a single moment, that it was a long, difficult, yet fascinating process that led to it, and it's still ongoing."
The album is raw, enriched with acoustic instruments. The new songs are filled with strength, life wisdom, and experience. The artist pays tribute to femininity and women, and the path to freedom and independence that each of them travels.
Ewelina's concerts are her lifeblood, interspersing dynamic pieces with ballads, and in between, she talks about her songs, jokes, and chats with the audience. The artist is accompanied by the musicians who co-created the album, and Ewelina not only sings but also plays acoustic guitar and percussion. The feminine energy is enhanced by the participation of a violinist and a backing singer.
