Long before 'Succession', 'Game of Thrones' or 'The Sopranos Family', millions of TV viewers were enthralled by the Polish series in which the heroic engineer struggled with family and construction problems and drove around Warsaw in his famous toy car. Half a century after the pilot of "Czterdziestolatka" was broadcast, Stefan Karwowski, his toddler, his wife Madzia, Maliniak and Kobieta Pracująca are back - as characters in the musical! Will Stefan discover his singing talent? What do the Working Woman and the engineer have in common? Who is really Maliniak? Inspired by the TV series by Jerzy Gruza and Krzysztof Teodor Toeplitz, the new musical episode will feature answers to these and other questions, hidden in the lyrics of new songs and hits of the People's Republic of Poland.

We invite you on a crazy, musical journey back in time to the era of sugar glasses borrowed from the neighbours, dinner calls between blocks of flats and life around the backwater undisturbed by mobile phones. The world premiere of the musical "Forty-year-old" is an opportunity to return to the times of childhood, to take the young generation there and show them a world without the Internet. A world where family and neighbourhood life was the main entertainment and people spent time with each other in real life. And they were never bored!
