Welcome to the 29th edition of the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival. During the 12 festival days we will hear 8 symphonic concerts, 3 song recitals, 2 piano recitals and 2 chamber concerts. Elżbieta Penderecka, director of the Festival, has invited many outstanding soloists and conductors, as well as the best national and international symphony orchestras to participate in the concerts. The guiding motto of this year's edition - Beethoven and great poetry - determined the concert programme, filled with vocal-instrumental works and works inspired by literature from Beethoven through Ferenc Liszt, Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss, Maurice Ravel to Krzysztof Penderecki.
