The city is becoming increasingly responsive to the needs of parents with young children. You don't have to give up many attractions, speciality coffee in the centre or an interesting outing to the museums in Warsaw. All you need is a good plan, tried-and-tested places and a bit of levity. Let's start with a park - Łazienki Królewskie or Park Skaryszewski
For long walking with a young child It is best to choose a place that gives you space and peace. The Royal Baths are ideal: wide alleys, plenty of shade, lots of benches and the availability of toilets with changing facilities. If you're on the other side of the Vistula, Skaryszewski Park by Kamionkowski Lake will also work great. Culture without stress - parent-friendly museums and galleries
You will also seamlessly visit selected museums with a baby. The POLIN Museum has wide walkways, lifts and a feeding area. At the Copernicus Science Centre, with a baby in a sling or pram you can move freely through the exhibition area, especially on weekday mornings when there are no crowds.
Parents visiting the Royal Castle also have good experiences. Of particular interest are the offers on family tickets. Wednesday's entry is free. Museum Twice a month, the National Museum in Warsaw invites art-thirsty parents to classes prepared especially for them, in which they can participate in the presence of their infants.
Transport and getting around the city
If you travel by public transport, it is good to know that buses and trams in Warsaw are predominantly low-floor. Drivers are obliged to stop close to the kerb and allow entry with the wheelchair.
A system of lifts and platforms is in operation in the metro. All stations on the M2 and M1 lines are fully accessible for people with disabilities and parents with pushchairs.
