Warsaw protects - family picnic at the Palace of Culture and Science
On Saturday, 7 June, the Świętokrzyski Park near the Palace of Culture and Science will become a centre of safety knowledge. During the hours 11:00-16:00 The Warsaw Safety Centre, uniformed services and municipal units invite the people of Warsaw to a unique family picnic as part of the event "Warsaw protects"..
First of all, is an excellent opportunity to learn about the activities of the services responsible for our safety, while spending time with the family in an attractive and informative way. Moreover, the organisers have prepared many activities aimed at both children and adults.
Among the planned attractions will be:
- first aid workshops,
- cardiopulmonary resuscitation exercise with the theme "Hour for Life",
- a smoky room simulator to test yourself under fire conditions,
- a mobile educational bungalow demonstrating fire hazards in a single-family home,
- a rollover simulator, giving a realistic experience of a dangerous driving situation,
- demonstration of the work and obedience of service dogs,
- a display of specialised equipment and armaments used by the municipal services,
- meetings with friendly mascots - Badger from the Metropolitan Police Headquarters, Kangus Ratus from SKM and Rogatek from UTK,
- Tasting of flavoured water straight from Warsaw's Kranówka.
Additionally, the Downtown District provides even more attractions:
- educational and sports stands,
- bag painting - make your own bag,
- NGO research and positions,
- inflatables,
- delicious grilled dishes.
