Buba Badjie Kuyateh (Gambia)
Virtuoso player of the African harp: the kora. Originally from The Gambia, he is a descendant of a family of griots, who in West Africa constitute a guild of master musicians and guardians of oral history. In The Gambia, Buba Badjie Kuyateh is recognised as one of the most talented musicians of the new generation. Firmly grounded in tradition, he is also influenced by new Western inspirations and belongs to the so-called 'funky style' generation. Widely recognised in The Gambia, he set out to 'conquer' Europe in 2012. He lived in Warsaw, where he founded his band "Bantamba" (a fusion of kora, funk and jazz). He has also performed with well-known Polish artists such as Maria Pomianowska, Marcin Masecki, Włodzimierz Kiniorski and Stanisław Soyka.
MILO Ensemble & Talya Solan (Israel / Poland / Syria)
Talya G.A Solan is an independent Israeli singer, songwriter and producer. She founded the band Yamma and The Israeli Ethnic Ensemble, with whom she has released six albums and tours internationally. MILO Ensemble - the musical project of Dimitrios "Milo" Kurtis. The group is made up of musicians coming from different continents. The world music performed by the ensemble is more akin to the roots of ethno, and the instruments played by the artists come from the Middle East, African countries, Mongolia and Indonesia, among others. Influences from Eastern Mediterranean music, Polish folk music, West Africa, Tibet and jazz can be heard in the songs. A number of stars have performed with the band: Dave Douglas, Andy Sheppard, Leszek Możdżer, KAYAH or Wojtek Waglewski.
