Grudzinski shares the dance space with the spectral life of figures from the past. He confronts the legend.
Threesome/Three is a phantom-choreographic practice cruising straight through the biographies of three legendary dance figures: Stanislaw Szymanski, Wojciech Wiesiolowski and Gerard Wilk. All lived in post-war - communist Poland. Two eventually emigrated - one never decided to leave. How were their bodies remembered? How did they realise and express their vulnerability, the moment they appeared on stage? How do we reclaim and embody these marginalised lives today? How to create an untamed, monstrous, illogical, corporeal archive of the queer past so that their unique character is not lost? The performance is intended to become an opportunity to recall/reframe the memory of them - their worlds lived without us at the time.
Threesome/Three is a hazy posthumous ballet, displaced legacy, reenactment, somatic robbery and transformation.
