Cold and Polish at Oldskull. The cold-wave Aiselis from Katowice, the post-punk-psychedelic Psychoformalina from Wrocław and the chatty post punk from Warsaw Koň.
Psychoformalina have been playing for 20 years, have 4 albums to their credit and regularly show up at Oldskull. A motoric, heavily guitar-driven, hypnotic ride with a frontman who pierces with his eyes and hogs the space with his appeal. Joy Division plus Loop? Something along those lines, if you haven't heard it yet....
Aiselis have been around for a few years, at first they played more under New Order, but now they play more under Joy Division, with good choral singing under Danzig. We saw the Katowice band once at the Oldskull and we are absolutely sure they are worth inviting them again. They've recently recorded an album, we're looking forward to the release.
Koň are Warsaw-based Belarusians who recently made their debut at Ada. Very good high-energy post punk, according to witnesses of the first performance.
