This is the story of the last twenty years of the composer's life, from his diagnosis of progressive deafness to the creation of his most outstanding works, including the first vocal-instrumental symphony in the history of music. The composer, who withdrew from social life as a result of his illness, held conversations with himself during the last years of his life. The dramaturgy of this inner dialogue between man, composer and citizen leads from the classical to the romantic form in music, from love to the ideas of freedom and brotherhood in life.
We will hear, among others: "Sonata for flute and piano in Bb Major;". Serenade in D Major, Op. 41 for flute and piano; an excerpt from Symphony No. 3 "Eroica", Part 2 in an arrangement for flute and piano; songs: "Wo dir Berge so blau" , "Freudvoll Und Leid voll", "Die Liege des Nachsten" in an arrangement for flute and piano and poetry by J.W.Goethe and F.Schiller.
