In this guide:
Nonna Pizzeria
In a quiet street a stone's throw from the Old Town, across the street from the Polish Theatre (Teatr Polski), the cult-classic Nonna Pizerria waits for you. The small, cozy space that will make you feel like you're in Naples has amazing reviews on Google.
On the small menu, you'll find a dozen versions of Neapolitan pizza as well as snacks and desserts. For the minimalists - a classic Marinara with garlic, oregano and olive oil or Bufalina. For devotees of a more distinctive taste - a spicy Diavola with fior di latte mozzarella, hot salami, fresh chilli and basil. Ingredients of the highest quality and a brilliantly delicious, thin dough with intentional, characteristic black bubbles on the sides that add a slightly smoky taste to your pizza. Warsaw turns into Italy for a split second when you indulge on specialties from Nonna Pizzeria. Pair it with some cooled wine and for dessert dive into a melt-in-your-mouth raspberry mousse meringue or pistachio cheesecake.
The restaurant's heart, at the centre of the space, is its tiled stove, and if you take a seat at the bar, you get a chance to observe the magic of creating pizza from scratch. Reservations are not possible and people often line up in front, but this pizza is worth the wait. All the more that the efficient and charming staff will bring your pizza to the table in 20 minutes and the price range is pretty reasonable for the city's standards.
In the summer the restaurant opens its terrace. Apart from the restaurant located on Oboźna 11 you can also use the Nonna Pizzeria Take Away, on Solec 50, which functions as a takeaway or delivery space all year long and additionally opens its terrace in the warmer seasons.
Casa di Tuzza
It is worth knowing that the Senatorska street, where the Casa di Tuzza restaurant is located, has roots going back to the medieval ages, and that it is listed on the national register of historic monuments. This is a fun fact for history geeks, however, if you love good music then you'll definitely be interested in the fact that Casa di Tuzza is the lovechild of rappers Riccie and Benito from the project Tuzza Globale. The fact that you can meet the Italian masters of Polish trap in their own environment on Senatorska 28, even though their artistic paths have recently split, is definitely an additional asset of this cool spot.
On Casa di Tuzza's menu, next to well-known classics such as Margherita - known here as "Italian Job" (which translates literally to Italian Job, which is the title of one of Tuzza's most famous tracks) - you can find very original, inapparent twists, such as for example Pizza Denaro, which will surprise you with a fusion of tomato sauce, mozzarella fior di latte, hot salami and cherry jam. The Pizza Giardino, on the other hand, contains an exciting ingredient - artichokes. Textbook perfect dough - nicely risen, fluffy edges with black bubbles and a gooey centre, exactly how a Neapolitan pizza should be.
The success of Casa di Tuzza is all the more notable, because the restaurant was launched in the rough circumstances of lockdown yet it has already changed its location - right next to the old one - for a bigger space, and is quite quickly evolving. In the extended version of the menu you will find appetizers and desserts. Apart from lemonade, you enjoy your pizza with a glass of wine, a beer or cocktail. You can also have the pizza delivered using Wolt, Bolt, Uber Eats, by telephone or you can pick it up on your own.
Tutti Santi
A list of the best places serving pizza in Warsaw cannot be collected without the Tutti Santi restaurant. It is a restaurant chain, with a dozen locations across the country and Valerio Valle as its patron, an Italian master of the classic pizza. Before joining the team in Tutti Santi, the cooks all have to spend several months studying the craft of pizza making under the guidance of the master Valle.
Satisfied clients praise the atmosphere and unique interior design of Tutti Santi. On the walls, you'll notice paintings of saints glimpsing at you, but don't you worry, you don't have to be a saint to be blessed with the specialities of Italian cuisine - and there's a lot to choose from.... Aside from nearly 40 versions of pizza there's excellent pasta, including truffle sauce tagliatelle, there's salads and obviously, the desserts - tiramisu, full of rich coffee flavour or light, fluffy panna cotta with saffron and raspberry sauce. Twisting up the dishes to the little ones taste is not an issue. As for the adults, a selection of excellent cocktails and white or red wine. There is also a vegan pizza, which the recipe for was co-created by the winner of the 3rd edition of the Polish Master Chef, Dominika Wójciak. You can also opt for a gluten-free version. After the meal, you can buy an original Italian product, such as an exquisite bottle of olive oil, and take it home with you or gift someone with a voucher.
Tutti Santi is a perfect spot for a hangout in a bigger group of friends or family, also with kids. Keep in mind that reservations are not open on the weekends. The queue in front of the restaurant only proves that inside you'll find a unique, Italian, ambient space and delicious food. It might not be the cheapest pizzeria in Warsaw, but quite frankly, the quality of real Italian products is worth its price.
Pizzaiolo
The Pizzeria Pizzaiolo is the younger sister of the cult-classic riverside "Dwa Osiem". Located on Krucza street, it is very well connected to other parts of the city. In its close vicinity you will find important institutions - the stock exchange, the parliament, ministries and various departments. In Pizzaiolo, in contrast, you'll find yourself submerged in a modern laid-back vibe, surrounded by the hubbub of voices and an overall chill atmosphere.
The restaurant Pizzaiolo offers Neapolitan pizza with a modern twist. On the menu, you'll find well-known classics, but the restaurant's signature twists on them is what you should come here for. The compositions of ingredients are original, daring, yet somehow feel intentional, thought through and assembled with taste. Every week, an exciting new version of pizza is launched, often with the use of seasonal ingredients, and, as they emphasise it, "straight from the host's crops". They have pizza with asparagus, potato puree, young beet leaves, chickpea and carrot puree, or, an even crazier option - pizza with dark chocolate, ice cream, orange marmalade, rum-based glaze, mint and chilli peppers. If you identify yourself as a pizza lover that is sick of boring combos, this place is made for you.
There's no booking option. You'll typically have to wait a little to get seated, but it won't feel like a hassle since you can do it while enjoying their signature cocktails and drinks, or a pint of craft beer. Keep in mind that the restaurant has a time limit system, meaning you get two hours from the time when you get your order. But if you ever get hungry on a friday or saturday night, drop by Pizzaiolo, it's open until late. They don't do deliveries, but that doesn't have to be bad - it only means that you have to go there and experience the place for yourself.

The pride and joy of the restaurant!
Lekko & digestnie also impresses its guests with its flawless tiramisu, delicious classic Italian snacks, such as f.ex. Drożdż
Muranów's Drożdż is easy to find. Its trademark ball that shines in front of the entrance, is like a lighthouse to its sailors - local pizza maniacs. Inside, the designer lamps in the shape of huge, yellow balls dominate the space. This original installation creates a unique ambience that has a futuristic, minimalist feel to it. It's a perfect place for a date - the lighting, with its yellowish/orange hues, makes you look like you have a beauty filter on and there's good music playing in the background. Additionally, there's excellent alcohol options, such as craft beers, for example the Pan IPAni.
The small menu offers Neapolitan pizza in a few versions, f.ex. white pizza with mozzarella and black pepper, but there's also seasonal special editions with ingredients from local suppliers. You can get lucky and catch a pizza with asparagus, burrata, or spinach and bear leek pesto. There are also vegetarian and vegan options. Apart from pizza they also have delicious sandwiches, Italian appetizers, unusual ice cream with olive oil, walnuts and salt, as well as flavorful coffee.
