Soundedit presents Nouvelle Vague - concert in Warsaw
Twenty years after the release of their debut album ("Nouvelle Vague I", 2004) , now a cult work, the French group Nouvelle Vague is back! Nouvelle Vague is a music collective from the Seine, created and led by Marc Collin, which has achieved great success with its distinctive bossa-nova versions of famous new wave songs. The group will perform on 11 April 2025 at Warsaw's Progresja club.
Not only does Nouvelle Vague give new life to well-known songs, from Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, The Cure to Buzzcocks and Yazoo, it allows fans to discover new dance versions of songs that have been familiar for several decades. February 2024 sees the release of their latest album "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?" (PIAS). The French group's name can be translated as 'new wave' and this is key to understanding their work. The artists have focused on covers of punk rock, post punk and new wave songs, with arrangements reaching for a bossa nova style.
After an excellently received performance at the Soundedit '24 Festival in Lodz, Nouvelle Vague return to play three concerts in Poland in April 2025.
Tickets are priced at £120 in advance until 31 December 2024, and from 1 January 2025 the price will be £150. Tickets available at: tickets24.pl, ticketmaster.pl, going.app, empik.com, eventim.pl, progresja.com and at the club box office on the day of the event.
