Join us for new classes at the Studio, which will be held on weekends! This is a great opportunity to spend time creatively, learn new skills and create something unique. The classes have been designed with individual visitors in mind, both children and young people (in selected age groups) and adults.
In an intimate setting, under the guidance of experienced tutors, you will learn interesting techniques and make creative use of recycled materials.
Don't wait - choose the workshop that interests you most and buy your ticket at the Copernicus ticket offices. You will find a detailed schedule of classes below. Join us and find out how easy it is to combine science with art and great fun!
Want to create an artistic composition using one of the old photographic techniques? Come to a workshop on cyanotypes, or solar photography! This technique involves exposing paper soaked in an iron salt emulsion. As a result of exposure to sunlight or UV light, the emulsion changes colour and, once fixed, produces a white-blue image. By arranging different elements (e.g. leaves, flowers, scraps of fabric, etc.) on light-sensitive paper, you can obtain a monochrome print of them. In the first part of the class, you will learn about and practise this technique. In the second part, you will design and make your own painting, composition or greeting card using this technique. You will take the results of your work with you as a souvenir.
