Nanook of the North

The duo is formed by Stefan Wesołowski and Piotr Kaliński, two acclaimed Polish musicians whose collaboration as composers is as perfect as the acoustic and electronic sounds of their compositions.
They began by playing live from the silent film Nanuk from the North nearly a century ago. A one-off collaboration between Piotr Kaliński and Stefan Wesołowski turned into a lasting duo, who released their debut album on the renowned German label Denovali (alongside artists such as Thomas Köner, Ensemble Economique and Kuba Kapsa). To record the LP 'Nanook of the North', the artists travelled to Iceland, where they recorded at Ólafur Arnalds' studio in Reykjavik.
