Want to learn the basics of sewing on the machine and sew something useful, giving a second life to an old torn shirt, for example? Come to the workshop at Wytwórnia, where we will introduce you to the sewing machine and the main principles of its operation. You will learn what lockstitch is and acquire basic sewing skills on the machine. Then, on the basis of this knowledge, you will sew a product with your own hands according to previously prepared projects of varying difficulty (bag, glasses case, workopleck). We will provide you with all the materials. In line with the idea of upcycling, these are recycled materials obtained from collections or donations. If you wish, you can also bring and use your own material for the sewing. What kind? Shirt fabrics, old curtains, tablecloths or bedding will work best. Avoid thick fabrics (e.g. denim), stretchy fabrics (e.g. fine cotton) and slippery fabrics (e.g. satin). For the largest project - a workoplecak - two pieces of at least 40 × 50 cm or one of 40 × 100 cm are needed.
