Janek, born in '98, is the new school of Krakow's underground, which caused quite a stir in rap and other music circles. Janek was courted by various labels, with props coming from many directions, but he eventually decided to join SB Maffia. As another of the SB Starter's participants, he started to showcase his tracks on the SB channel, making everyone's hopes high for the future and he is increasingly mentioned as the 'next best'.
2016 saw the release of 'Notabene Mixtape', which drew attention to the huge, natural potential that sits within this lad. With 9 numbers full of puppyish nonchalance and a laid-back flow, it quickly found many fans.
In 2018, the album NOCNA ZMjANA on the beats of NOCNEGO saw the light of day.
On 15 March 2019, the album 'Planks' is released. It's "the story of a 20-something who sees, feels and tries to live his youth as much as possible". It's cohesive but diverse material that will drag you around big city clubs, leaving you with more than a hangover.
A new album, Jan-rapowanie & NOCNY's "Smile!", is being released in March 2020. Why did Jan-rapowanie & NOCNY name their album just that? Because, as one old Scotsman wrote, it's in the smile that the key to deciphering a person is found. And because Jan-rap has matured a bit, which doesn't mean he's stopped smiling.
