Kamasi Washington is a Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, composer and frontman. The artist has garnered worldwide acclaim with releases including 'The Epic' (2015); 'Harmony of Difference' (2017) and 'Heaven and Earth' (2018), with the film accompanying the latter debuting at the acclaimed Sundance Film Festival in 2019. In 2020, Kamasi created the soundtrack for Michelle Obama's documentary Becoming, which earned him Emmy and Grammy nominations. That same year, Washington co-founded the supergroup Dinner Party, which also included Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper and 9th Wonder. Their eponymous EP also earned a Grammy nomination in the Best Progressive R&B Album category. The artist has toured worldwide and collaborated with names such as Kendrick Lamar, Florence + the Machine and Herbie Hancock. His latest album 'Fearless Movement', inspired by dance and the birth of his first daughter, will be released on 3 May.
