In the beautiful interior of the Fryderyk Concert Hall, lit only by candlelight, we will listen to Fryderyk Chopin's compositions performed by extraordinary artists - outstanding musicians of our time.
Alongside works by Fryderyk Chopin, the programme of the concerts will include music by other composers who inspired Fryderyk Chopin (e.g. Jan Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven), composers from the circle of European Romantic music (e.g. Ferenc Liszt, Józef Elsner, Stanisław Moniuszko), as well as later composers.
The concerts are two-part recitals lasting approximately 60 minutes, based on the idea of salon music gatherings popular in the 19th century. During the interval of the concert, you will be treated to a glass of sparkling wine.

Paweł Andrzej Mazurkiewicz, urodzony w Warszawie, rozpoczął edukację muzyczną jako akordeonista, a naukę gry na fortepianie dopiero w wieku 16 lat. Studiował u Jana Ekiera i Bronisławy Kawalli na Uniwersytecie Muzycznym w Warszawie oraz u Tomasza Herbuta na Uniwersytecie Sztuk w Bernie (dyplom solisty z Nagrodą „Tschumi”). Obecnie jest profesorem fortepianu na Uniwersytecie Sztuk Pięknych w Bernie i pedagogiem w MS Aaretal koło Berna.
Paweł Mazurkiewicz jest laureatem licznych konkursów pianistycznych: w 2003 roku zdobył Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes (Szwajcaria). Zdobył też między innymi pierwszą nagrodę na 30. Ogólnopolskim Konkursie Pianistycznym im. F. Chopina w Warszawie (gdzie otrzymał także stypendia Ministra Kultury i Sztuki), a także nagród na Konkursie im. K. Szymanowskiego” w Łodzi. Dalsze nagrody w Japonii, Grecji, Francji, Polsce i w Szwajcarii.
Regularnie koncertuje jako solista i kameralista na trzech kontynentach (m.in. w Tokio, Osace, Los Angeles, Berlinie, Rzymie, Warszawie, Strasburgu, w Szwajcarii w największych salach koncertowych – KKL Lucerne, KKT Thun, Kultur Casino Bern, Tonhalle Zurich, Zentrum Paul Klee Bern, grając m.in. z Berneńską Orkiestrą Symfoniczną, Berneńską Orkiestrą Kameralną, Orchestra Classica Bern, Neue Zurich Orchester, Orchestra da Camera di Lugano).

The concert is performed by extraordinary pianists whose names are known throughout Europe and the world - professors of the University of Music in Warsaw and winners of international piano competitions, graduates of prestigious music academies: Joanna Ławrynowicz, Anna Kubicz, Maciej Poliszewski, Maria Korecka-Soszkowska, Robert Skiera, Kayo Nishimizu.
The programme will include his most famous compositions. We will hear, among others, the Etude in C minor, Op. 10 No. 12, called the Revolutionary, the Polonaise in A flat major, Op. 53, the so-called 'Heroic', and the Prelude in D flat major, Op. 28, No. 16, called the Rain Prelude.
