We would like to invite you to the Gallery, which is located on the ground floor of the Castle. It contains works of art donated to the Castle in 1994 by Prof. Karolina Lanckorońska, heiress of the family, previously owned by Kazimierz Rzewuski. In this way, elements of one of the most outstanding private collections in Europe could be made available to the general public. Previously presented in various exhibition rooms of the Castle, in 2011 they gained a unique arrangement in a specially prepared interior. In addition to portraits of the founders and creators of the collection - representatives of the Rzewuski family - the Gallery contains two of the three Rembrandt works present in the Polish collection - Girl in a Picture Frame and Scholar at the Pulpit.
Visitors can also admire paintings that used to belong to the collection of the last king, Stanislaw August. The collection is complemented by examples of 16th- and 17th-century painting, including Dutch and Flemish paintings, as well as decorative arts: ceramics, gold, glass, jewellery and miniatures from the Royal Castle collection from the 17th-19th centuries.
