Meteorites have always aroused particular interest. Traces of fascination with the mysterious "stones from heaven" can be found in the oldest accounts and documents. The collection of meteorites presented at the permanent exhibition METEORITES - STONES FROM THE Skies was already collected by the Earth Museum Society before the Second World War. The latest acquisitions, on the other hand, date from recent years. Particularly noteworthy in the exhibition are Polish meteorites (including an almost unique collection of Pułtusk and Łowicz meteorites). In addition to objects from the asteroid belt, we also present very rare meteorites from the Moon and Mars. The exhibition of the collection of meteorites gathered in the collections of the Museum of the Earth PAS provides an unusual opportunity to get to know these extraordinary "guests from the Cosmos" directly.
