Exhibition at the Museum of Warsaw Prague

Exhibition at the Museum of Warsaw Prague

The permanent exhibition is a story about the right bank of Warsaw told in many ways. In the Praga History Room, we wander along a timeline, learning about the history of the city from the 16th century to the present day - based on copper engravings, paintings, photographs and multimedia. Attention is drawn here to a large model of Golędzinów, Praga and Skaryszew presenting their appearance in the second half of the 18th century.

The Praga Market Hall, located one floor up, with an arrangement referring to the commercial traditions of this part of Warsaw, shows exhibits and multimedia related to the location of Praga, the local markets and fairs, crafts, industry, social activities, leisure activities and infrastructure. Here we will see a real stick for measuring a horse at the withers, a machine for making kaiser rolls, and photographs showing the rich social, sporting and recreational life of the inhabitants.

The historic basement of the Museum is full of art installations. Older visitors will reminisce here about Stevie Wonder's concert at the 10th-Anniversary Stadium, while younger visitors will enjoy contemporary rhythms. Afterwards, everyone will listen to the Archives of the History of Residents - anecdotes told by Prague residents. The halls of the old Jewish prayer rooms with their preserved wall paintings are also an interesting sight.

Finish your visit on the viewing terrace - Prague looks completely different from above.
