Lord Huron was formed in 2010 by Los Angeles-based Ben Schneider. After writing and recording two independent EPs ('Into the Sun' and 'Mighty'), Schneider began to receive more and more requests for live gigs. In response, he invited his friends Mark Barry (drums), Miguel Brise\u00f1o (bass) and Tom Renaud (guitar) to join him. The group, which first played together when they were just 12 years old, reunited and quickly gained momentum, transforming the project into a fully-fledged band.<\/p>\n
Lord Huron's debut album, 'Lonesome Dreams', was released in 2012, and the band released 'Strange Trails' in 2015. It was this album that featured the multi-platinum single 'The Night We Met,' which became one of the 40 most streamed songs on Spotify ever. In 2018, Lord Huron received critical acclaim around the world and reached the top five of the Billboard Top 200 chart with their third album, 'Vide Noir'.<\/p>\n
The band's most recent album, Long Lost, has garnered praise from NPR, Time, Los Angeles Times, Spin and Stereogum, among others, and has led to appearances on shows such as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late Show with James Corden and CBS This Morning: Saturday.<\/p>\n
The band has performed at some of the country's most iconic venues including the Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Ryman Auditorium, as well as performing at festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and many more.<\/p>\n

There comes a point at which every musical group finds itself at a new point on the horizon. The audacious spurts of youth disappear, the sense of invincibility associated with being new - and the Pillow Queens were one of the most acclaimed debut bands of recent years - escapes and is replaced by something else. A feeling of freedom and daring, of letting go of the burden of others' expectations. This does not mean, however, that the band has mellowed or rejected the music that brought them fame. On the contrary, the new material takes them into a different space, open to seriousness and sensitivity. The band's history runs parallel to the massive social and cultural changes in Ireland, and queerness and Irish identity have always been fundamental to their work. In short, there has never been a band like them in Ireland before.<\/p>\n
After forming in 2016, Pillow Queens released a series of singles, honing their sound and working on their debut album In Waiting (2020). Along the way, they gained recognition from the UK and US press, played numerous sold-out shows and appeared on James Corden's US show.
