Joost Klein is a 26-year-old performer, writer and artist. His energetic style combines elements of mainstream pop with joyful hardcore and punk. He is praised for his poetic lyrics combined with catchy beats that capture the spirit of youth. He is representing the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Europapa', which is a tribute to his father. 'Europapa' is a tribute to my father. In raising me, he passed on to me a broad view of the world.\"<\/p>\n
On the Dutch and Belgian concert circuit, Joost is known for his legendary performances at festivals such as Lowlands, Pinkpop and Pukkelpop. Last November he gave two sold-out concerts at Amsterdam's AFAS Live for 6,000 people. He recently won the prestigious Popprijs 2023 award, given annually in the Netherlands to the band or artist who has made the biggest impact on Dutch pop music in a given year.<\/p>\n
Joost's foreign fan base is also growing. In Belgium, he performed at the sold-out Lotto Arena in Antwerp. Last summer, Joost's song 'Friesenjung' became a number 1 hit in Germany. Since then, it has garnered more than 100 million streams worldwide and was awarded the title of 'Best Song' in Germany's 1LIVE Krone radio awards. Joost also has many fans in Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, the UK, Poland, Italy and Ukraine.<\/p>\n
