Mariensztat was a jurydyka in those days. Although World War II almost completely destroyed the place and ruins remained after the Warsaw Uprising, it was rebuilt in the late 1940s according to a design by Zygmunt St\u0119pi\u0144ski, as the first post-war reconstruction in Warsaw. The characteristic pastel-coloured townhouses give the estate a unique appearance reminiscent of French towns.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Picturesque market square and cobbled streets<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>One of the most recognisable landmarks of Mariensztat is the charming market square surrounded by colourful townhouses.
