"TWO WORLDS" - An exhibition on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Anna Siłuch's artistic work.
Anna Siłuch (née Skrajnowska) - a visual artist, a surveyor by profession and former university teacher, living in Piaseczno. Graduate of the Military University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Painting of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
The exhibition 'TWO WORLDS' Anna Siłuch - painting / Władysław Olechnowicz - icons, is a conscious juxtaposition of contemporary painting, characterised by both the freedom of subject matter and the form of expression, and icons - sacred images, which are governed by certain rules, frames.
The exhibition was organised as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of his creative work.
The artist has been creating since 1999 and has had 10 solo exhibitions and dozens of group exhibitions throughout Poland.
She has presented her oil paintings at the Salon Wielkopolski in Czarnków and at the Roundabout of Art in Grodzisk Wielkopolski.
She works mainly in oil, on canvas, watercolour and makes sketches with drawing ink, or ecoline, pen. Favourite subjects for paintings are landscapes, architecture, flowers, still life. The inspiration for her paintings comes from a keen observation of her surroundings, associations or a fascination with colour. It is at this exhibition that she will present oil paintings on canvas, which are dominated by the colour blue - her favourite colour - in various guises.
Since 2007, she has been a member of the Association of Visual Artists based in Poznań, and since 2019 of the Association of Polish Art Creators based in Grodzisk Wielkopolski, where she serves as secretary of the National Board, as well as of the Art Group "Między sztalugami", which was formed by graduates of the Postgraduate Studies in Painting. She actively participates in numerous plein-air painting workshops in Poland.
Władysław Olechnowicz - a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Icon Writing School in Częstochowa, and Postgraduate Studies, Faculty of Painting, UMCS in Lublin. A resident of the Lesznowola commune, in the Piaseczyński district. Participation in the exhibition "TWO WORLDS" - at the invitation of Anna Siłuch, a visual artist celebrating her 25th anniversary of creative work.
Władysław Olechnowicz bases his artistic activity mainly on writing icons and creating paintings on canvas, in oil technique. The main themes in his paintings are landscapes, architecture, portraits and flowers, which are created during plein-air painting workshops. He paints with impasto, with an emphasis on colour.
Oil paintings have been presented at post-exhibitions and group exhibitions in Poland: Piaseczno, Lesznowola, Łęczna, Sandomierz and Lublin. She is a member of the Visual Arts Group 'Między sztalugami', which is made up of graduates of postgraduate studies in painting, and of the Piaseczno Visual Arts Group.
