The Kasprzak Radio Works closed down almost 30 years ago; today, modern office blocks, housing estates and commercial premises can be found on its site, and there is hardly a trace of the factory. During the walk, we will hear about the history of ZRK and try to imagine how huge the scale of the plant was. The mobile application 'ZRK - Audioslady' prepared by Marcin Dymiter will help us. The artist has placed recordings of memories and archival and contemporary sounds inspired by the factories in the app. To participate in the walk, you will need a charged phone, headphones and the ECHOES app downloaded to your phone. The Marcin Kasprzak Radio Works in Warsaw (ZRK) operated from the 1950s to the 1990s between Marcin Kasprzak, Karolkowa and Skierniewicka streets in Wola. ZRK manufactured, among other things, radios, reel and cassette tape recorders, portable radiomagnetophones and video recorders.
Today, all that remains of the plant are traces and fleeting memories of former employees and Warsaw residents. The walk accompanied by a story about ZRK will be led by Hanna Sabat and Michał Domański from the Wolski Cultural Centre.
