A small sung poetry festival aiming for the land of the predatory.
The Volodia project grew out of a fascination with the work of Vladimir Vysotsky.
The leader and originator of the band - Janusz Kasprowicz - invited musicians playing jazz, rock, flamenco and blues to cooperate. A unique, sound-diverse musical project was created, presenting the cult songs of the legendary bard Włodzimierz Wysocki.
The band debuted in 2011 with a record with the master's songs, then interpreted in their own way the works of Stanisław Grzesiuk, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, used the lyrics of Andrzej Bursa and Władysław Broniewski, and referred to Lviv folklore. This year, he returns to Vysotsky's works with a new programme, with new translations of the legendary texts, in surprising arrangements with electric guitar, banjo, ukulele, bass, drums, accordion and the band's own invention - vinophone. The versatility of the band's music allows it to gather at its concerts audiences of all ages, from teenagers to Vysotsky fans who remember his 'live' performances.
The Volodia Project performs as follows:
Janusz Kasprowicz - vocals, bass guitar,
Bogdan Bińczak - accordion, vinophone, percussion instruments,
Robert Gawron - acoustic guitar, banjo, ukulele,
Marcin Kotlarski - electric guitar,
Tomasz Burzyński - percussion.
Salkersi
There was once a small world where music and joy reigned supreme. In this world lived the Salkers, extraordinary creatures whose music could bring even the fondest dreams to life.
The Salkers were known for their wonderful music, which changed the lives of everyone who heard it. Their instruments were so magical that as soon as they started playing, everything around them became more beautiful and colourful.
One day, however, a dark shadow fell over the Salkers' world. An evil sorcerer did his best to destroy their music and rule the world. The Salkers were forced to flee and their magical instruments fell into the hands of the sorcerer.
The Salkers have not given up. They decided to reclaim their instruments and restore music to the world. So they set off on a dangerous journey through forests, mountains and seas to find the sorcerer and defeat him. After many hardships and dangers, the Salkers finally reached the sorcerer and fought a decisive battle with him. Their music was so powerful that the sorcerer did not stand a chance. Eventually, the Salkers were victorious and regained their instruments. They played their music again, which resounded throughout the world. Their instruments were now even more powerful and their music even more magical. Everyone lived in peace and happiness, and the world became beautiful and colourful again, thanks to the extraordinary creatures known as the Salkers.
