Summer Chopin recitals at the Praga Koneser Centre
Every summer Thursday from 10 July to 21 August, 19:00 Koneser Square
In the heart of Warsaw's Praga district, amidst the atmospheric architecture of Koneser and the summer bustle of the city, the music of Fryderyk Chopin will once again resound. The Praga Koneser Centre, the Godnie Żyć Foundation, Harmonia Pictures and Dom Ze Sztuką, once again invite you to open-air piano recitals, which have become a tradition of the Koneser Summer. This is a unique opportunity to experience an evening of top-notch music in an open and friendly space, amidst greenery and red brick.
As part of the 'Prague Classical Music Concerts' series, seven outstanding Polish pianists - participants of the 19th International Chopin Competition - will perform. Their interpretations will bring the audience closer to the genius of the Romantic phrase and the piano artistry that has moved successive generations.
All concerts will be conducted by Jan Popis - a distinguished musicologist, music critic, expert on and populariser of Chopin's works, juror of piano competitions for many years, and vice-president of the Fryderyk Chopin Society.
