Omasta is a band drawing inspiration from street culture and jazz, combining the pulse of urban life with improvisational freedom in their work. After their debut in Krakow's Paul's Boutique, they quickly attracted the attention of the music world, which resulted in invitations to prestigious stages. They had the opportunity to perform as a support act for the legendary group Slum Village in Poland, as well as play at Belgium's Gent Jazz Festival and on the stage of the famous London jazz club Ronnie Scott's.
Omasta are currently working intensively on new material, which will be released on the respected Polish label Astigmatic Records. As part of their upcoming concert at Jassmine, the band has prepared a unique set dedicated to the work of Madlib - one of hip-hop's most important producers, whose sound has inspired musicians and listeners alike around the world for years.
