As part of Museum Night 2025, we invite you to an exhibition of photographs by Kacper Bartczak showing artistic documentation of Cuba, printed in lithography.

The Observation gallery will feature a photographic series made in Cuba, about which the artist himself says the following:

"Empty shelves in the shops, food ration cards, daily power cuts, blocked exit from the country, lack of access to medicine, the cult of work, the political regime, the omnipresent poverty... Contrary to appearances, this is not only a description of the Poland of my childhood, but also the reality of the Republic of Cuba today.
Like an ordinary tourist, I spent three weeks in Cuba. I knew that, regardless of my sincere desire to learn the realities of Cuban society, I would never fully understand their reality. Perhaps this is why I fell into the trap of romanticising poverty.
Coming here is like stepping back in time, where colourful, crumbling buildings, old-school cars and the rhythm of Cuban salsa mark the paths of everyday life.

Participation in the event is free of charge. No application or registration required. Intended for designated persons for whom the event is dedicated. The tour takes place during the designated hours.
