A journey through the life of one of the most fascinating figures of Polish literature - Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska. Poet, painter, esotericist, woman marked by love and the influence of the planets - rediscovered in the biography by Małgorzata Czyńska.
During the meeting, we will talk about Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska as a character full of magnetism - a yogini, an herbalist, an enthusiast of astrology and telepathy. Her work, invariably inspiring successive generations, was recognised by the greatest writers of the era. Tuwim saw her as a witch, Lechoń saw her as a russet, Boy-Żeleński called her the 'Polish Safona', and Witkacy portrayed and advised her. Małgorzata Czyńska's biography is not only the story of the poet's life, but also a record of her spiritual quest and artistic evolution - from a girl brought up among the painters of Krakow to an icon of Polish poetry.
