Foster the People are coming to Poland for a special concert!
Mark Foster's band is one of the biggest pop-guitar success stories of the last decade, having gained global recognition with the single 'Pumped Up Kicks'. The Americans have four studio albums to their credit: the groundbreaking 'Torches', as well as 'Supermodel' and 'Sacred Hearts Club', and 'Paradise State of Mind', released a year ago.
Currently, alongside the founder, multi-instrumentalist Isom Innis is responsible for the core of the band. At the concert in Warsaw, you will hear premiere material as well as the greatest hits of the Los Angeles band!
Californian looseness and a lot of positive energy. Foster the People introduced themselves to the world with the album "Torches", for which they were nominated three times for Grammy Awards. They have also received Billboard Music Awards and nominations for Brit Awards, MTV Europe Music or Teen Choice. Their discography includes numerous multi-platinum and gold awards. They have almost 18 million monthly listeners on Spotify and just under 3 billion views on YouTube. These gigantic numbers are simply impressive.
Those who grew up with the indie pop of MGMT or Empire of the Sun will no doubt be familiar with the hit "Helena Beat", "Houdini" or the aforementioned, viral "Pumped Up Kicks", which took over radio stations all over the world. Just to cite the results: more than 2 billion streams on Spotify and more than one billion plays of the clip on YouTube are stunning statistics!
In 2024, Foster the People returned with a refreshed style and started a whole new chapter of their career with the album Paradise State of Mind. Recorded, by the way, in London's legendary The Church studio, which had previously hosted Bob Dylan, Radiohead or Adele, and in California's Studio Three, where The Beach Boys formed.
Already a decade ago, one could catch the inspiration of disco, the 70s and 80s or the unique grooves that Mark Foster introduced into the band's sound. The final result of these maturing ideas and constant development can be heard on the album Paradise State of Mind, released in August 2024, which represents a completely new chapter in Foster the People's career. It's a wildly danceable and upbeat album that comes closest to the golden age of disco and funk. If you loved Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' - you'll love this material too. It's a feast of music for fans of Chic, Earth, Wind and Fire, Prince, but also Tame Impala or DāM FunKa.
Foster the People are currently forming a duo, but they will fly to Poland with a band of a dozen or so - it will be an amazing musical experience. A diverse setlist, interesting arrangements and exceptional energy coming from the stage. Mark Foster knows perfectly how to drive crowds wild - expect a performance of the highest order in Warsaw!
