Follemente. There is method in this madness
What hides in our thoughts? Who really lives in our head? The crazy person, the romantic person, the impulsive person, the thoughtful person? Or is there quite a crowd in our mind? In his new film, Paolo Genovese, creator of the blockbuster 'Good Lies in Pleasant Company', talks about interpersonal relationships and what is inside us.
The protagonists of the film are Piero and Lara. Their first morning causes both of them understandable stress. They both want to present themselves at their best and avoid slip-ups, which are not difficult to come by when nervous, but they also want to know each other's thoughts and sense each other's desires.
By looking deep into the thoughts of his characters, Genovese reveals their fears, insecurities and needs. He uncovers the mysterious mechanisms that are responsible for our actions. The different personalities have their voice and their reasons. They discuss, argue, shrug, and each of them wants their decision to be the final one. But what about when none of them is right?
The film by Paolo Genovese, is realised according to his idea and script. Starring Italian cinema stars Pilar Fogliati, Edoardo Leo, Emanuela Fanelli, Maria Chiara Giannetta, Claudia Pandolfi, Vittoria Puccini, Marco Giallini, Maurizio Lastrico, Rocco Papaleo and Claudio Santamaria.
