The Museum's collection currently includes more than 100 neon signs, or nearly 1,000 letters, with new exhibits being added all the time. As far as possible, we try to conserve and restore the neon signs in our possession and collect their history. We also have at our disposal extensive photographic documentation of contemporary neon signs, as well as a collection of archival drawings and old postcards, which we have used, inter alia, in two book publications - "Warszawa Polski Neon" (Gazeta Wyborcza 2007) and "Polish Cold War Neon" (New York 2012).

We also take action to protect neon signs in their natural environment, i.e. in the urban space. Two Warsaw neon signs are in our care - the neon Syrenka at Grójecka Street and Mydło Farby at Nowolipki Street. Many of the renovated neon signs from our collection have also found their way onto the walls of buildings in the Soho Factory area at Minska 25 - the eight-metre-high Jubiler, Warszawa Wschodnia, 24h (Pharmacy), Chodzież Railway Station, Praha Cinema, Filiżanka Jaś i Małgosia, Główna Księgarnia Techniczna.

The neon signs present high artistic qualities. They were designed by renowned graphic designers, artists or architects. They formed an integral part of the architecture of buildings, and the streets of Polish cities were drowned in their light.

The Neon Museum has been operating in the Palace of Culture and Science since 1 August 2025.
