The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw invites you to the family creative workshop "Small or large? Experiments with Scale", accompanying the exhibition "EXHIBITION NONE. 4 × COLLECTION'.
Age group
12:30-14:00 Families with children 3-6 years old
14:30-16:00 families with children 7-12 years old
During our walk through the exhibition together, we will look at works in very different sizes - from the small to the monumental. We will consider why artists decide on a certain scale: what makes something seem small and something else seem huge? Does a large sculpture work differently from a small picture? Can a man be taller than the Palace of Culture?
In the second part of the meeting we will create our own works inspired by what we have seen. Using plasticine, fabric and paper we will try to make an object of our choice smaller or bigger. Perhaps we will create miniature portraits of trees or giant sculptures of tiny insects and raindrops? We will experiment with proportion, form and imagination.
At least one chaperone(s) is required to attend the event.
