Young Talents concert: Marta Papoian

Marta Papoian was born in 2004 into a Polish-Armenian family. Her first teachers were Alexei Sultanov's family - his mother (violin) and younger brother (piano). At the age of nine, Marta began taking lessons with Professor Sergei Voronov and then with Professor Maria Gambaryan - the last surviving pupil of Konstantin Igumnov today. She has taken part in masterclasses of many distinguished pianists.

She has received many prizes at piano competitions. First prizes include: Conero (IPPA) IPC, Bordjomi IPC & Special Prize for performance of a piece by F. Chopin, StayHome IPC, ChopinPlus, Moscow Skriabin Competition, Kaunas Sonorum etc. She is the winner of the VIGO IPC - 3rd prize & special prize. Neuhaus IPC - 2nd prize, Szafarnia IPC - three special prizes, Riga IPC - 2nd prize and Special Prize for the performance of F. Chopin mazurkas, Chopin dla najmłodszych - Antonin - 3rd prize. Elevato Piano Competition - 1st prize and special prize - solo recital in Ehrbar Saal (Vienna). She is a second-year student at the UMFC in the piano class of Prof. Joanna Ławrynowicz-Just and Ace. Adam Goździewski. This year she received the Scholarship of the Rector of the UMFC, being among the best students at the Instrumental Department.
