American band Thrice will perform in Poland! The group will present their material on the stage of Warsaw's Nieba on 16 June, accompanied by noise-rock band Coilguns.
Thrice combine a variety of musical genres, making it difficult to attribute their work to one particular trend. Over the years, their style has evolved from post-hardcore, through emo influences, to experimental and progressive rock. The band's foundation is authenticity, and the inability to pigeonhole their music only confirms this. They are now recognised as one of the most influential bands in the post-hardcore and alternative rock scene. The Californian group, active for over 25 years, has released 11 studio albums. Their latest release is a reissue of their third album, 'The Artist in the Ambulance', which features guest appearances by, among others, Sam Carter of Architects.
Coilguns is a Swiss band playing an intense mix of post-hardcore, noise rock and mathcore. Their music is an explosion of chaotic riffs, polyrhythmic drum structures and raw, energetic expression. The band was formed in 2011 by musicians previously associated with The Ocean. Their sound is heavy and aggressive, but also full of experimentation and unpredictable tempo changes. Coilguns often record 'on the fly', which gives their songs a raw, garage feel that emphasises their independent style. They have four studio albums to their credit, with their most recent material featured on the 2024 release 'Odd Love'.
